BAKED SWEET & SOUR CHICKEN
- four boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- one half cups cornstarch
- three scrambled eggs
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- one cup granulated sugar
- four tablespoons ketchup
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
- one tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
- one teaspoon garlic salt
Preheat the oven to three hundred twenty five degrees. Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.
In separate bowl, placing cornstarch & beaten eggs. Dip the chicken in the cornstarch and brush it with the egg mixture.
Heat canola oil in skillet on heat & cooking chicken to brown. Placing chicken in greased 9×13 baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic salt. Pour over chicken and bake for an hour.
Turn chicken every fifteen minutes to coat with sauce.
