BEST STRAWBERRY PIE EVER
- half tsp. (one stick) softened butter
- three tbsp. sugar
- one ea. flour
- two bed. the water
- two bed. sugar
- six tbsp. cornstarch
- one package (six oz) strawberry jelly
- three pints strawberries, cleaned and hulled
- *If using a shallow pie plate, cut filling recipe in half.
Combine butter, sugar and flour and press into a greased deep pie plate. Bake at three hundred seventy five degrees for ten minutes.
Bring the water, sugar and cornstarch to a boil, stirring, until thick and clear.
Remove from fire; add the strawberry jelly.
Mix well and cool.
Stir in strawberries.
Pour into the pie shell.
Store in refrigerator until set; serve with whipped cream
