Crock pot orange chicken
- one 1/4 pounds skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup starch
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup orange jam
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- one tablespoon rice vinegar
- one teaspoon sesame oil
- half teaspoon minced garlic
- one tablespoon sesame
- two tsp green onion
Put the chicken pieces in a bowl. Adding cornstarch, salt / pepper. My heart the chicken until covered with the cornstarch mixture.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add chicken in a single layer and cook three to four minutes on each side until browned. You may need to work in batches.
Coat slow cooker with cooking spray and add chicken to slow cooker.
In bowl, whisking oranges, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, & garlic.
Pour sauce on chicken and stirring to coat.
Simmer on low heat for two to three hours.
Sprinkle with sesame and green onions, then serve.
