Homemade Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients :
  • three cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • one 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • one to 2 tablespoons of milk


Directions :
In a medium bowl, combine the powdered sugar and butter with a spoon or an electric mixer on low speed. Stirring in vanilla and one tsp milk.
Gradually stir in just enough of the remaining milk to make the frosting smooth and spreadable. If the frosting is too thick, add more milk, a few drops at a time. If the frosting becomes too thin, stir in a small amount of powdered sugar. Generously frost a 13×9 inch cake, or fill and frost an eight or nine inch two-layer cake.
