TACO BRAID!!
ingredients
- one box of chilled pizza
- two tablespoons olive oil
- half cup chopped onion
- one pound lean ground beef
- three tsp homemade taco season
- half c water
- one cup shredded Fiesta cheese, divided
- one into cubes, plus extra for the top, if desired
- two tsp melt unsalted butter
- Sour cream and taco sauce, to serve, as desired
Directions :
Prepare a folded baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.
Preheat oven three hundred seventy five degrees F
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Adding chopped onion & cooking to soft, about three to five min.
Add the soft minced meat and cook until brown.
Adding homemade taco season and water and blend until well mixed.
Reduce heat also simmer for five to seven min.
Meanwhile, move the piece of parchment onto your work surface.
Lay out the pizza dough on parchment paper and roll it out so it measures ten by fifteen inches.
Using a pizza cutter, make 1 1/2", 3" thick slices along both sides of the long dough.
Put the minced meat in the middle of the dough.
Cover the beef with 3/4 cup of the cheese, then add the tomato cubes.
Starting at one end of the braid, fold the end up and twist the first two strands to secure it.
Repeat rolling with the remaining slices until the last two slices.
Fold the remaining end up and wrap the last two strips over it to secure them.
Gently brush the top and side with melted butter.
Sprinkle the remaining quarter cup of cheese on the face.
Transfering parchment to the edged baking tray.
Baking for twenty - twenty five min, to golden brown.
Leave to cool for five minutes before serving.
Top with chopped romaine lettuce and additional tomatoes, if desired.
Serving with sour cream and taco sauce.
